ASSOCIATION FOR BIRTH PSYCHOLOGY Research through the Association encompasses a variety of subject matter dealing with perinatal focus. Preliminary research to date has determined there are birth personality categories: *The CESAREAN PERSONALITY who is creative, indecisive and dependent *The NATURAL BORN PERSONALITY who is sociable, communicative and relaxed *The PREMATURE PERSONALITY who is conservative, impractical, and low on sensitivity *The BREECH PERSONALITY who is tough, a survivor, ambitious, and tense *The POSTMATURE PERSONALITY who is responsible, independant, and competent *The FORCEPTS PERSONALITY who is shy, opinionated and temperamental EVERY ASPECT OF EVERY MOMENT OF THE BIRTH PROCESS HAS EMOTIONAL REPROCUSSIONS THAT IMPACT THE INDIVIDUAL THROUGHOUT LIFE
